I was so bummed they have no plans to release that on blu-ray. I saw it on PBS HD and have it saved on my tivo in SD.

Les Paul Lives On In Us All!

Thanks for posting this and reminding me how inspirational Les Paul continues to be. I've seen this video a few times, but I never tire of Les's untiring and indomitable spirit. He was the original home recordist, and every time I listen to him talk about any aspect of his journey, I find myself hoping for just a small percentage of that spirit in myself.
          All the best,

          Chris

Im always jealous of how his fretboard work was still silky, and fast! Even
at 90! His hands seemed to be a 50 yr olds hands..

I've seen this several times and it never gets old. I had the privilege of seeing him at Fat Tuesday's (his spot prior to the Iridium) days after his 80th birthday. His show was jaw dropping...an amazing mixture of story telling, comedy, and of course awesome musicianship. Prior to the show my friends and I had dinner upstairs (it was a basement club) and he came in and sat beside us, ate a plate of fettucinni alfredo, and talked up a storm. People kept coming up and interupting his meal but he was very kind to each of them, even taking the time to sign autographs for anybody who asked (one guy brought in two off-the-rack Standards for him to sign).
After the show he hung out and chatted, signed more autographs, posed for pictures, etc. He's easily one of the coolest people who I've ever met...made for a very memorable evening to say the least. I'll have to scan some pics and post them.
