He SAYS Warlock, but the album he played on that saw the light of day was Doro's first solo album Force Majeure, where he was Jon Devin. I guess it was Warlock when he joined but they changed due to her old manager owning the Warlock name. So as a legal technicality he can claim Warlock, but you won't find a Warlock album with him playing on it. So I kind of laugh every time I read that listed in his resume. I guess Doro isn't good enough for him to claim.

Levin is an excellent Lynch clone, but that's all he is. Everything I've heard of his with Dokken literally just rips George's playing style. That's great for a cover band I suppose, but...the genuine article is the best. I'd love to see a Dokken reunion, but only if Don would stop smoking and lose some weight. He has literally no range live, and his singing is all in his throat. No power whatsoever.

I don't know that I really care if I see GL back in Dokken to be honest. His playing has really suffered the last few years, and the couple times I've seen footage of him "sitting in", he doesn't really do the songs justice either. He's so busy setting himself apart from the music, that he just doesn't fit the part anymore. I'd rather ses a clone that rips it proper, than the "real deal" who is trying to leave his past behind. Just my $.02...

I kind of agree on some level. George went through a phase where he was tuning way down and trying almost to reinvent his playing with nu-metal elements, but in the past couple of years he has kind of come back to sanity. As for his couple of vids sitting in with Dokken, I honestly don't think he sounded too bad...especially compared to Don's vocal. Some practice time with the band and I think he could sound even better. Though, as anyone can attest that has heard him live, George improvises more often than not. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Levin, on the other hand, basically plays note-for-note from the record (which, in my opinion, is why the 'Greatest Hits 2' album is so damned boring: It's the same arrangements, just with Don's voice blown out).

George can still rip though, case in point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOVqQNJUHNQ
