I have recently seen the Goo Goo Dolls at Redrocks and I have to say that I really like the guitar tone that John and the other guy have. Anyone know what kind of gear they use?

John has like a million guitars, no Jacksons or Charvels unfortuneately

He's a big Fender/Guild Guy as far as fiddles, but amp wise, he's been running Bogner the last few tours. I think his effects were mainly Line 6 rack stuff.

When I first saw them in the mid-90's, he was using old ESP strats, Les Paul's, and old Marshalls.

It seemed mostly like he left anything with any kind of effects to the other dude. I know John has any and all swithching done for him as he had nothing on the floor.
