Don't you guys ever get sick of arguing over who is the best? Pointless. There is none. Everybody has their own personal preferences.

Besides I AM THE BEST BIOTCHES!!!!

The first clip that was posted, well I kept waiting for it to take off, but it just kind of stayed low key...I wanted to like it, but it just came off booring...I want to like him but I just can't.....Good player for sure, but he just does nothing that moves me...

I liked Uli back in the 70's and I still love his work.
These days I just don't see much feeling coming from the players.JMO.
            Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Straycat, listen to the song I posted above.

Listen to 2:05 and tell me that isn't full of "feeling"

and I put feeling in quotes for a reason

What is your definition of feeling?

To me, That little bit is as close as you can get to feeling on a guitar.

Not Bad Grim...I liked it. That stuff is up my alley. I have a bunch of tech metal that you'll dig.

Grim..you're new. But it's tho we were meant to be. Perhaps we can sip wine, do 'shrooms and sword fight in the garden of Eden?
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
                Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

These guys are definitely technical monsters. But to me it sounds like some mathematical equation put to music (like Steve Vai without the off the wall note choice crap). After three listens I still can't hum any bit of the melody(???). Anyway... the guys can play, but to me it just sounds sterile.

As far as what I consider feeling, check out the Gary Moore (The Loner) Thread

I listened to the clip. Mindless dribble to me. Sounds like textbook noodling. Kind of like clean Buckethead. I will say that one thing does impress the heck out of me though.. your guitar and amp list. Damn bro... NICE>..

Thank you sir. It has taken me quite a few years, a lot of money, and a few mistakes to collect this gear, and I'm damn proud of it.

Becker was great...but not in the class of the ultimate shred virtuoso...Shawn Lane! Game over! Over! :-))

But thats like saying because Frank Marino had flat hair, and wore weird clothes, that his chops arent valid?? Come on!

(pertaining to the post about Uli needing to reinvent his appearance and "Pout"...
