FUCK, I CRINGED when I saw that on SNL!!! I played a Les Paul at that point and I was all "NO!!!! Give it to ME!!!!"

I still like Les Pauls, they are awesome at what they are good for and play like butter except at the highest frets - and that just helps you make your guitar faces anyway, work for that high E baby!

Shame the way she went out, though... really sad.

My auxiliary scale finger en main bending finger is multi-talented. Some people also refer to it as my pussy finger. Should it break, i would be out of business and corn flakes cause i work as a morse code telegraphist

I like how the audience clapped politely at the end!

Seeing this is fantastic, but seeing the Plasmatics live was an experience not to be missed! here's my Wendy O story: I had the pleasure of seeing Wendy & the Plasmatics at the famous Country Club in Reseda, CA in 1987 - at that point she was billing herself as the Priestess of Metal...at this concert she chainsawed a cheap Les Paul copy and tossed the pieces to the audience - I was one of 3 guys that caught the neck/front body piece - the 3 of us started fighting over it, and none of us would relinquish it! The song ended, and security rushed all 3 of us and the piece all entangled together right out the front door! We got the ol' bum's rush! At that point, we all agreed to separate the pieces: one guy smashed the headstock on the curb, and another guy got what was left of the neck, and I got the half body piece, complete with no name humbucker pickup!

I stashed my hard-won booty in my van, changed shirts, and was able to re-enter the club, ha ha! (The other guys were SOL). I couldn't tell ya what happened to that body, or what brand the guitar was, but I still have that pickup! (It's sitting right on top of my computer case).

Nice story, Ron! Looking at the above vid, that guitar too looks to be a LP copy. The neckplate's the giveaway. I know she's going for theatrics...but she aint stupid w the costs of real LPs!

Checking the vid out really does make me believe she was a pioneer. The band costumes esp. the drummer remind me of slipknot. And the stage crumbling at the end, esp. the lights coming down, remind me of the end of the metallica's And Justice live show.

As for W.O.W., I doubt she went out like Cobain - crying about shit. As extreme as she was, I like to believe she wanted to do it simply to experience the blast, and the aftermath. Had she lived, she'd probably have said "that fucking hurt, but it was AWESOME!"

But then, how do you top that rush?

Any wonder WOW committed suicide? Just might have a couple screws loose. The most profound thing she said - in her suicide note - is that the world made no sense to her. Yep, I can totally see that!!! RIP

Dude thats fucked up, she tried TWICE before she put a bullet in her skull. Once hammering a knife in her chest and the other time she over dosed.

So your theroy is shit, she was a troubled woman who had some serious issues but I guess found peace in her mind to end her own life as she was ok with it. Most people who attempt to kill themselves dont do it for a rush no matter how "extreme" they are, thats just stupid.
