slash's tone on appetite, of course.

and jimi hendrix. on everything he ever did.

corrosion of conformity. I'm not sure which guitarist it is, it's probably both of them. they get really good tones.

        You be right.
The great players the magic was in the hands and not the gear.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

I am really digging Killswitch Engage's guitar tone.
My favorite guitar tone is Uli Jon Roth's lead tone live.

Scorpions had some great guitarists without a doubt.
Here are some others that also did.

                          The Yardbirds
                          Santana
                          The Stones
                          Skynyrd
                          KISS
                          Whitesnake
                          and yes Ozzy
                          To name a few.

Randy, Jake, and Zach weren't just hired guns.
They went into the studio, were part of the creative process,
and were a huge influence on the bands style and sound.
                          Models
The prudes may snub them, but I don't care.
                          I dont need furniture.
If its tough, shreds, and screams, Its all good.
If it gets jacked, I'll get another one.
                          And rock that sucker.

That would be Yngwie circa 84-85 for me (Rising Force and Marching Out).

If I had to pick more than one, EVH and AC/DC would join the list.

Thats true , a guitarists vibrato really defines their tone and works in unison with whatever gear they have.
I dont get scared but i do get shocked!!
