My favorite guitar tone is Uli Jon Roth's lead tone live.

As a side note, is there any other band out there that has had as many great guitarists in it as the Scorpions over the years? Don't say Ozzy, because I mean an actual band, not just hired touring band.

Scorpions had some great guitarists without a doubt.

Thats true , a guitarists vibrato really defines their tone and works in unison with whatever gear they have.
