I always found Slayer a bunch of Venom wannabe's and since I didn't like Venom, it pretty much pre-destined Slayer to be unlikable.

I should probably revisit them as a band because I've grown to like some Sepultura in recent years and I never appreciated them in the past.

My spelling doesn't lack cohesion. It's accuracy and consistancy it lacks.

Anthrax with John Bush is GOOD Anthrax. That's the only era of them I like. Like it was said, because it was a straight up metal album, best they've done.

              Slayer and Megadeth are great.

I wouldn't pay to see Metallica again.

My thing is..I have to go to a THEATER? That's not a live show for me.

                Belladonna > Bush

                Sorry.

as everyone is entitled to my opinion, I am therefore correct and John Bush is an inferior singer to Joey.

comparing Belladonna to Bush is like comparing apples to oranges, totally different, but i like them both

                  Indians with Belladonna - Awesome
Room for one more with Bush - Awesome

I've seen slayer twice. Last in 2006.

They do not and never did thrill me. The playing was sloppy and Araya's vocals were trash.

                    well, Metallica sucked too.

huh? LMAO, John Bush is one of the best singers in metal damn boy go listen to some old school Armored Saint. He's not even second to Halford or Dio or any of them, he's just one of the best period.

I'll back up that statement. I saw Armored Saint backing up Metallica during the Ride the Lightning tour in a 1000 person venue and he sang his ass off that show.

Joey was good at the time, but John is better. Hell, I'd take Neil Turbin from the first album nowadays over Joey.

well, i ended up getting tickets. i told my girlfriend about it and she thought it would be awesome. plus, i figured it would be like nice watching an epic show without having to deal with all the denny's cooks, beer, mud, port-o-lets....you know, all the GREAT trappings of festival shows.

nothing like seeing the bands i liked when i was 13, sitting in stadium seating - with AC - being able to shit when slayer comes on....

might be a good time. thank goodness for cool girlfriends!!
