  • New Video + FREE CD for JCF Members!!!

** UPDATE ** OK guys, I think I'm going to end my free CD offer at this point. I've gotten a really good response with a lot of requests. Everyone who asked for one will be receiving it in the mail soon. Thanks.

Hi guys. As a few of you already know, I have just released a new all-instrumental CD titled Breaking Point. It's got tons of guitar from start to finish, lots of melody, of course some shred, and hopefully enough cool changes to keep the listener interested. I'm very influenced by the 80s, so that's what you're going to hear a lot on this. In some songs, like the video below, my Lynch influence is extremely obvious, but in others you may not notice it at all. My other influences include Paul Gilbert, Vinnie Moore, John Sykes, John Norum, Warren DeMartini, and more.

Below, I have posted the full length video for the first track off the CD. I've also posted a preview video that lets you hear samples of several songs so you have a good idea of what's on the CD.

I have loved coming to this forum pretty much on a daily basis for the past 5 years or so. This is a great community with a great bunch of guitarists. So to show my appreciation for this place, I'm offering up my CD for FREE to anyone that wants it. The only thing that I ask is that you send me $2 for the shipping. Why? Because I think by asking for the shipping, I think only people who are truly interested will then request a copy. And here's the deal: PM me your name and address, I'll mail you the CD, then you drop two dollars in the mail back to me. I'm really proud of my work on this CD, so making money on it is not my priority. I just want it to be heard.

PAYPAL is ok as long as you mark it "gift" so that there are no fees.

Shipping outside of the U.S. is also ok. For Canada, please send actual shipping plus a tiny bit more for the envelope. For Europe, please send actual shipping plus $1. Thanks.

    * SPECIAL REQUEST: I would really love if two of you guys would do kind of an official review of my CD. You know, the type you might read in a publication like Guitar World or something. If you volunteer to do this for me, you don't have to send me the two bucks for shipping. Again you ask why? Well because I know I have no chance of getting a real review in a guitar mag, so I would like to read one by guys I respect. I also ask that the reviews be done by guys that like 80s guitar like what I'm playing. Please don't volunteer if you hate what I'm doing. OK, so you listen to the cd a few times, write what you like and don't like along with reasons, and post it here for anyone to read. I'll continue to give away free CDs to anyone here that wants one. Questions???

Thanks. If only it were still the 80s. I need a hot tub time machine. Does Shrapnel even release new/unknown guitarists anymore? I don't think they do. What I want to do is send it to some labels in Japan.

Thanks bigz. Are you referring to this video? If so, yes it was me and it's one of the tracks on my cd. The only acoustic track actually.

This is an acoustic instrumental that I recently wrote and recorded. I decided to try to make a "real" video to go with the music. The song was recorded usin...

Rich, do you need a rhythm guitarist?

Jackson Shred, the AM came and went, and it's now PM, and still no PM. Where's your PM???

Ron, thanks. I'll keep you in mind when the world tour comes up.

                      Speiro, you got it.

A couple of people have asked me about shipping international. And the answer is YES. You just have to promise to send me the cost of the actual shipping plus $1 more to cover the cost of the envelope.

One person has kindly offered to do a more formal review for me, but I still would like at least one more. Any takers? We're not talking award winning journalism here. Just something longer than, "Dude, it rocks," or "Hated it." And it's just for fun. Anyone? Bueler?

Ok, I'm new around here, but this is as good a place to start as any I can find. That song alone reminded me what I love about instrumental guitar that I haven't listened to in a long time. Been playing Marty Friedman and Steve Vai all day now at work. Absolutely awesome stuff!

Thanks Evil Mike. I'm just glad that there are still people out there that enjoy this kind of stuff (besides me).

You're definitely not alone, I grew up on Jason Becker, Satch, Vai. It was Megadeth that inspired me to pick up a guitar, but those guys showed me what could really be done with it.
