Did you see this at Metal Sludge?

Considering he never came up to the video camera to be interviewed, and they have another guitarist who was NOT onstage in the clips of Jake, I think he is sitting in with them and the chick is trying to get press by saying he's in the band. Maybe he's hitting that shit or something.

Then she probably went to Jake and said "But JAKE... we can play on the bill with PAUL McCARTNEY!!! But ONLY if YOU'RE there.... please????"

That is my impression of the vibe here. He's sitting in and they're trying to get him in the band.

Oh, and I didn't hear anything outstanding in his playing either.
    Ron is the MAN!!!!

Great to see him having some fun, but I seriously doubt he is going to leave Vegas to do that show in Canada with them.

I'm surprised he didn't break the neck off that SG! That would kinda suck but I guess be cool at the same time if you let Jake sit in with your band and he broke the neck off your guitar... HA HA! It'd make for a good ebay story anyway! HA HA!

I have to say that what little bit it showed him, he looked better than I thought he would after hearing about all the drug problems.

I viewed the Shot In The Dark clip; while certainly sloppy, it is good to see that Jake is back performing.

I don't know, I watched those videos and it was pretty hard to tell what anything sounded like coming from the incredibly bad phone recording and then on youtube. I could barely hear Jake, or the bass player for the matter. I think I will withhold my criticism of him until I can actually hear him.

Y'gotta understand. I saw Badlands at the Aragon Brawlroom back in the day. It's one of those indelible images--Jake standing like a statue with his hair blowing back and ripping out those licks with god-like authority. To see what he's become is enough to tear my heart out.

Sounds like a bar band to me. And not a great one...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable

He kind of reminds me of Jimmy Page in that first clip. And not the young and spry Jimmy Page.
