Besides, the main point is, great metal stands on its own. I'd much rather listen to the many amazing christian metal bands than horrible "evil" ones..and visa-versa. I could turn you onto bands you'd like..alot of the stuff is gruff and implied anywhoo.

For the most part I agree with this list. I'd take out Tool and Zeppelin though, and probably DT in favor of Testament, Anvil and Manowar. Why wasn't Manowar on the list? All of their CD's and song titles have "metal" in it!Comment

I hate "best of" lists they are all totally bullshit in every way shape and form.
If they want to do a list, do a top ten money grossing tours in metal or something like that.
As soon as someone says "This metal band is better then that one" I want to shit in their mouth.
It's all opinion who is the best, worst, whatever. These lists are just a way for rags to act as though they are some how relevant in music anymore.
