Yea, its an old record. Really old. Anyway, I love it. I was listening to it again Friday and I came to the conclusion that my 2 favorite songs are Ship of Fools and Heaven Knows. Thats probably everybody's favorites.
So... I am listening to the guitar solos in Heaven Knows and I am so blown away by the tone, note selection and feel of the solos in this song. They stand way above every other guitar solo on the album (although the solo in Ship of Fools is very very good). I decided to do a search to find out who the guitar player is, what amp was used when recording it etc...

Give a listen to his newer albums with his band Strange Sensation.... like "Dreamland" and specially "Mighty Rearranger", by far his best solo work, very creative, very psychedelic and experimental... The production is jaw dropping.

I'm not a big fan of JP but he is a master. As much as I dislike Zep those are some good songs.

The riff for Ship of Fools and the lyrics are some of the best...I love that song...
