I love Van Halen. I love David Lee Roth.
...but this song is just embarassing. Ed seems to have some of his chops back, but the lyrics and vocal performance...sorry. I'll buy the album, but I hope this isn't an indicator of how the whole thing will sound. -

We all love Van Halen, but it's just mind boggling how terrible they've crashed and burned in so many ways over the years. Of course EVH reshaped the rock guitar world in '78 but hes just such an ego freak and has burned every bridge he can get a spark to. Well, I'd assume this is their radio song since it's been on constant rotation on all the "rock" stations here. Not very promising, and Michael Anthony's absence is certainly blatant. But it was nice to see Eddie actually playing a solo, and havin' fun with it again. I do like Dave tho he's Dave.
OH, one thing I absolutely miss is Alex's signature snare sound..it's not here.

At the very least Weird Al can get a new tune about the midget from Fantasy Island out of this song. I was a huge fan of Van Halen back in the day but these lyrics don't cut it.
