    I've got an Idea-

Gary Cheronne should form a band with the drummer from Extreme, Steve Vai and Sheehan. Then he should go on tour With Van Halen and Chickenfoot. The tour could be called- Van Halen III

For the encore, all three bands could come on stage and bitch about each other! Satch and vai and ed and billy would be an interesting combo though.

I WAS stoked to hear this, but it's pretty lame. I do like that Eddie has a little fire, but Diamond Dave sounds as if he isn't trying too damn hard. Hope this is NOT the definition of the whole albums effort.

I'm not really impressed with Tattoo and I'm hoping the follow up will have more to offer. as far as it not being VH without Michael Anthony, Of course it's not. That's just like saying it wasn't VH without DLR after Sammy joined up. A couple of years ago, there was a Led Zepp reunion without Bonzo, how ludicris is that? and as far as I'm concerned, Guns and Roses ceased to exist when Slash walked. But you know what? We take what we can get, and if it's no good, we won't buy it and they'll either stop making it or figure out a way to make it work. ie Chinese Democracy.

Seems like we've had this thread before... Anyway, my useless opinion is that VH is in a no-win situation. They're a party rock band, and nobody wants to hear an updated version of "Romeo's Delight" from 60 year old dudes. Nobody wants to hear Ed or DLR's take on what's relevant to a man entering his twilight years either. Dylan, Springsteen, or Neil Young get to do that and win Grammys, because that's the type of career they built from the get-go. VH is stuck having to do a toned-down, not-too-creepy version of what they once did, and it just doesn't work. I do think Ed sounded pretty good on this, though.

hahahahaha....ain't that the truth!! i saw DLR a few years back at an outdoor festival....his band was awesome, he sounded pretty good.....BUT he looked like a perverted don knots dressed like the "cabin boy". it was a dali-esque experience for sure. here was roth, looking how i described, acting how he did when he was MUCH younger, and girls were clearly of two camps. the younger women he was flirting with were REPULSED. the older women were swooning. the guys were laughing.....

as far as the new song....i don't care for it. i did listen to that song "she's a woman" (or whatever it is called) and it wasn't too bad.
              GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

              and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I like the song. They all sound great. The only critique I have are the lyrics in the chorus. Tattoo Tattoo ??? WTF.

With that said.. I think its great. I am a huge fan of DLR and I will always have his back. He is just the ultimate front man and a genuine nice guy. Van Halen is a legendary band that had a hand in inspiring us all to be better guitar players. They have been around forever and I give them alot of credit for coming out with new material for their fans.
BTW.. regarding the Wolfgang comments, they didn't show him that much, he looks good with the band, he plays good, he sings back ups good and they sound fantastic live with him. It must be so cool for Eddy to be playing with his son.

I have heard from several sources that their opening act will be Kool and the Gang. Why?? I guess I am hoping for more of VH songs in the spirit of DOA, Unchained, Mean Streets etc. not Dancing in the Streets or Jump (the shark). Who knows maybe the rest of the album will recapture more of that old school sound. We'll see.

If this is suppose to get me excited about the "new" album it doesn't cut it. This song and She's a woman are old tracks that never made the first 6 albums with DLR. I have a funny feeling that the majority will be the same, songs that didn't make the first 6 albums. Don't get me wrong, I love old VH and DLR, saw them every time they rolled into town, bought all the albums. Yes, even VH III which got played twice, once when I bought it and a second time not that long ago to remind me as to why I only played it the once!
I watched the vids from Cafe Wha?? and was stoked to see them having fun on stage again. I was even thrilled to see that they are coming to my town, but when I saw the ticket prices....... Sorry, unless I win them from the radio station, I guess I won't be going. That and Rammstein are the same week.

Ugg, not as bad as the Who at the Superbowl, but it's close.

Yes the lyrics do sound pretty campy. Yes Diamond Dave is a little scary in this vid, but it's for the most part as good as it gets without Michael Anthony. It's good to see Dave and Ed together with smiles on their faces. Not so "stick up the ass" as they were. Eddy looks sober. The trem dive while aiming the guitar at ya is killer.

aight, just tried to listen to this........ Many of you were VERY nice, the song structure is very mediocre. The only playing that was at all inspired was Ed and Alex, and that was only in spots. The solo wasn't bad, but really stopped before making it memorable(nice playing and tasty chops though).

Flame suit on ~ Dave looked ready to chug cock, the lyrics were freaking horrible. Sure it's probably every fat kids dream to play in VH, well maybe not. I didn't think the kid did to badly, however he really didn't standout as a player guess that doesn't matter when Ed's your dad........

Everybody wants some.......... Nah, I think I'll pass!

I'm sorry guys, but I like it...ok..not REALLY like it...but I like it...and I'm interested to hear the rest...this sounds more like the old Eddie to me. It also doesn't sound like anything else out there right now ( thank fucking god). It grew on me and I think its going to grow on some of you....

When I first hear it I thought....that sounds like Van Halen...
