  • Evanescence's Terry Balsamo

Posted in another thread he was playing DeMartini's live.

Just saw the new My Heart Is Broken video and he is playing a new Skatecaster.

Looks like we might have a future endorser. He has been playing Ibanez for the longest but this is cool since they are such a popular band.

Also, anyone check out the new album. It is awesome.

Cool on the Charvels. Ben Moody played Jacksons too.

Can't say I like their new album though, especially after a almost 6 year wait since the last. And their first single sounds like Shania Twain does metal.
2003 Jackson SLATQH Custom (cobalt cabo), 2002 Jackson SLATQM (burnt cherry), 2011 Jackson Chris Broderick Soloist (transblack 7), 2007 SL2H (black)
Mesa Road King, Bogner Uberkab, Mesa Lonestar Classic, Kemper Profiling Amp, Eventide H8000

Maybe Amy Lee just needs to listen to some more European Goth Metal to rip off. That would probably help.

And they were like on Letterman, one guitarist was playing a gray strathead Charvel... one of those new one hum one single, pro mods.

Exactly, what I've thought since I've heard of above said band. ..I'll take The Gathering, Lacuna Coil, Tristiana, After Forever, Epica, Nightwish, and hundreds of other bands we can pull from that well. Just take any of those bands..Add current scene flavor..Americanize it, and serve while hot.

Enjoy whatever you like. If it makes you happy..that's peachy!

And I actually do like Evanescence, but I like all of the bands you named more. Add Liva, Dismal Euphony, Theatre of Tragedy, Within Temptation and Sins of Thy Beloved in there as well. lol

The main problem with Evanescence is they keep recycling old material... they have like 20 albums with the same 20 songs on it. So it's kind of a joke to me.

Yes..I agree with all those bands. IMO I think Evanescence would make ONE great record with their entire body of work!

But alot of bands are like that. I love classic Kings X. But after Dogman..I feel the same really.

They have like one LP and one EP and all the rest are mostly just re-edits of those songs, right? lol

So they have one and a half great records as their entire body of work.

Anyone listened to "We are the Fallen"?
To me both bands sound like 80% of what Evanescence used to be.
Besides that I'm not sure whether I could tell them apart...
