Hung out and ate lunch with Kool and the Gang. The bass player and I traded slaps on his Ken Smith. Oh, They gave me an autographed post card with all their sigs too.

I paid 17.99 for the new VH, and 79 cents for a box of marshmallow peeps. I'd say the peeps were a better value.

Seriously, some of the Hagar era stuff SMOKED this!!!!!! I know I learned them moons ago. The Seventh Seal, Source of Infection, Pleasuredome, Judgement Day, Humans Being ect ect ect...1000% musically superior to anything on this. I would reserve this CD for the big-time, complete-ist VH fan...like myself. My wife and kid absolutely hate it. They were weened on VH. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeened!

IMO, the two Dave/VH songs -Can't get stuff no more-, and -Me Wise Magic- was better than this! It's better than VHIII tho...

ADKOT is a decent party album and it sounds OK in my car, so no complaints here. And Kool and the gang are a fun party band too, the point is why expect to go to that gig on guitargeek mode?

And who cares if EVH did not invent tapping. YOU (and I) learned tapping because of EVH!

Damn right, and I'd venture to say that's true of every member of JCF.

yea, its the "economy of notes" theory. the less notes you play, the more electricity is saves.

                      we're green mutha fuckas.

I have listened to the latest offering from VH. not bad....and was really looking forward to seeing them (mostly) together after all these years. But Kool & and the Gang is really disappointing. I mean, the music isn't even similar. Why the F*ck have these guys as openers? I get the the headliner doesn't want to be up staged. But how they hell can I wear my platform shoes AND spandex jumper and not look ridiculous? OH! And now I will need a mtherfking jacket!?

If K & G are permitted to have a "good" sound. They will shake alot o' bootys up. I think people forget..how many "fun" songs they wrote. Some much more popular than VH's..

I'd like to go just to see them! I think having Dave back in VH warrants the masters of CELEBRATION!!
