I saw Ace Frehely do tapping live before Van Halen's first album came out. He did it quite a bit in his solo.

I think regardless of who we "think" was tapping first. (cause none of us really know) Its what Ed is going to be remembered for.....like it or not...it is what it is......right, wrong, inbetween....doesn't matter....Its his thing that he does.....He had to.

Ace also "tapped" on Gene's hotel room door wearing a Nazi suit. So, let's not give him too much credit for having great foresight.

If K & G are permitted to have a "good" sound. They will shake alot o' bootys up. I think people forget..how many "fun" songs they wrote. Some much more popular than VH's..

I'd like to go just to see them! I think having Dave back in VH warrants the masters of CELEBRATION!!

This was Dave's idea and I think it will work better than people think! I saw the Stones in 1975 with The Funky Meters opening and I thought that would be weird but it set up the party vibe which the Stones topped off really well. The Quaaludes, hash and redbud helped too! The idea is not Guitarmageddon but party time. If you go in that mode, you are apt to have a great time. Dave is Davem unpredictable, but I think Ed is playing great now, and Wolf is fully big enough to beat his ass if he gets out of line! I like this album but what I REALLY like is that Sammy can't stop shit-talking it while Chad says Alex is kicking ass and Joe says he likes it! "Chickenfoot would like to say farewell and fuck off to Joe Satriani and Chad Smith and welcome Joe Stump and Josh Freese to the band! Come out and see us at your local bowling alley please!
