They are coming to Summerfest here in Milwaukee. It will be an awesome venue. Can't wait!

The 2008 tour was incredible! All the classic stuff.
2010 was disappointing to me as it included too much 'newer" material. Of course their sound and musicianship was top notch, I just don't care for the newer songs as much.
Dream Theater opened in 2010 for the show I attended. Petrucci had just amazing guitar tone that day. Just amazing.
"We were sitting on the bus one day and there were 5 of us hanging out. There was only one beer left in the cooler and we actually all took a little cup and split it. It was a pathetic day in a rock and roll when five grown men have to be sitting there sharing a beer. "

For me, what Maiden’s setlist would be makes or breaks the experience. I always thought I’d be into every maiden show but that wasn’t the case the last time I saw Maiden in 06/07. I just saw em in Ozzfest 2005 where their entire setlist didn’t go past SIT or maybe 7th son. I thought I was going to get more of the same the next year, but it was in support of their A Matter of Life and Death cd which I did not hear at all before the show. After 2 or 3 older tunes, they played A Matter from beginning to end. Then finished off with a couple classics. Well, had I known this, I would have picked up the record to be somewhat familiar with it. I was figuring a few to several new tunes to be played on that tour, like for the Brave New World tour, but I wasn’t expecting the entire thing to be played.
"Your work is ingenius…it’s quality work….and there are simply too many notes…that’s all, just cut a few, and it’ll be perfect."

They will be in Montreal on July 11th. My middle son has been listening to 7th Son a lot lately. Could make a nice surprise gift!

Ive seen them twice. I think the first time was the 7th son tour. Anthrax opened supporting persistence of time. Second time was in the 2000s - dio and motorhead opened. Both shows were awesome. Im really looking forward to this.

They should tour with Anthrax redoing their Persistence set list!

Please no! I won't give Charlie or Scott any more of my money.

                          Oh fuck yes to this.

The first time I saw them was on the tour AFTER Seventh Son (No Prayer).

This is good news for me, and I've seen Maiden more times than any other band.

I just hope they bring back the giant animatronics. I miss those. Scrolling curtains don't quite do it.

Anthrax on tour for POT opened for them on the "No Prayer" tour in 1990, not the Seventh Son tour.

I don't mean to re-bump, but is this their last tour? Years ago Steve Harris said they'd only release so many albums then retire, and that number was reached with their last album

the impression i have gotten from any recent interviews is that maiden are nowhere near done.

Ahh, that makes sense to me. I didn't think I saw them as early as 1988. 1990 puts it more in line with when I would have seen them. My memory is shot. So many concerts/shows over so many years.
