R.I.P. Ronnie Montrose

Had the pleasure of seeing the first Re-United Montrose show with the original band after 25 years when Lynryd Skynyrd had to cancel last minute as opener for Sammy Hagar's Solo act. Sammy called Ronnie and the gang to come help him out, and they basically played the whole first album. Sammy was smart enough to shift the show order to have his solo act open for Montrose....great show, great night. Ronnie Montrose is a legend around here in Northern California...

Ronnie was fighting cancer and died today at the age of 64.
