One things for sure, he's still one of the best on the planet at what he does and laughably owning Metallica. A comment someone made somewhere else "he can't write riffs like that anymore" is lol worthy.
This is exactly my thinking. It sounds amazing he just not singing it there. Like I said earlier, I have a new found appreciation for Broderick. He nails Marty to the T and the thing is it's easy for him. And on side note, I had no Idea that James Lamenzo was in Megadeth.

I still and always will love Megadeth. The writing has slid a little over the years, but they are and always will be miles ahead of Metallica IMO.

an album is cheaper, and I don't need to travel 2 hours and wait 5 before I can finally listen to/see the act I want to see/hear for a flawless performance

This is the concert. You watch that and tell me he's actually singing. I call bullshit. Sometimes it doesn't even look like he's trying.

You know how I know this was definitely a canned show?

Because Yawn Drover didn't start out at 150 bpm and end at 50 bpm.

Yawn Drover..??? ANY band should be honored to have him. Do you know he writes alot of the material for Eidolon..guitar parts too.

Did you ever hear Menza's solo cd..maybe you should.

According to Dave Mustaine, Shawn is also a pretty great guitar player!

Joe he's an AMAZING guitarist. He sounds much like his brother. He's a very gifted muscian that could do a killer solo record of his own. UNLIKE Nick Menza. I have zero tolerance for ignorance. I don't pretend I'm a mechanic..therefore I leave those opins, debates, and such to them.

Joe, you know I have mellowed with age. I pick my battles instead of starting wars for my own amusement...well, sometimes.

They should make purely LIVE Lps like they used to in the Good Old Days. Like "Unleashed in the East" for example.
Not sure if serious.. Unleashed was canned and overdubbed too.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

Shawn seems like a really cool, laid back dude. Probably has to be in order to maintain a working relationship with Mustaine for this long. That said, his drumming in Megadeth bores the living daylights out of me.

Seeing Menza with MD live (and in a 1990 vid I saw recently on YT) I must say Menza was way more dynamic & a heavy hitter.

IMO Menza was the best drummer megadeth had followed by Gar

Jimmy DeGrasso was better than Menza. Shawn does a fine job, one of the best.

Speaking of laid back drummers, ever watch any old Death footage from the '80s and early '90s... Bill Andrews moved even less than Shawn does!

Most of what I have seen on HDTV is similar. I was watching Bad Company yesterday and Paul Rodgers vocals seemed a bit off. I am guessing that it's a filming/mixing issue.

Amazing how some people will stir shit just to see it fly. Pick Dave apart if you want but go do as many shows on a tour as they do, film a live video, then hold your breathe waiting for the record label to release a 100% live version of it (that is if you're even signed to a label). So what if there are some overdubs in the final release of a concert video. I doubt any of us could pull off an absolutely perfect concert video, myself included. Why is it that most people have to always point out the flaws of people that are successful in order to feel better about themselves?

I'm not doing anything to make myself feel better. I'm just simply pointing out that he is not singing and I was surprised. I'm a huge Megadeth fan. Always have been. Hey, it sounded awesome, but it's not real. Thats my only point. I don't like being "tricked" and I feel that is a trying to pull one over on the concer goers. I don't care if it's Ashly Simpson, Milli Vanilli or Dave Mustaine. I like "live" music, not pretend music. It's my preference.
