Warren and the king were my biggest influences IBM playing guitar. I wish I could have Met him before he passed... Rest in piece brother.

I heard he was living in El Paso back when I was in school there in the late 90's. I heard he frequented the same dive bars I did and I always hoped to meet him, but never did. RIP Robbin...you are missed.

I have really nothing to add here that I haven't said, or hasn't already been said. Never met him, but he was a huge influence for me, and I hope that some day I can have the same kind of wisdom and perspective.

                RIP King.

Cool post, Sully. I remember seeing RATT in a small local venue in the 80s. Waited in line for tickets for hours. The show was just too cool, and the guitar eye candy was just about as good as that gets, too. RIP.

I saw Ratt with the Scorpions in the Tacoma Dome in 8th grade. I always thought they went down hill after Dancing Undercover - now I know why. Ratt lost their fire and soul as time went on. I prefer Robbin's playing and songwriting, especially the early stuff. Thanks for the cool guitars and great songs Mr. Crosby! RIP

With another year gone by, 11 now, I wanted to bring Sully's post from a year ago today back. Thanks to them (Curt, Sully..) and so many others for keeping his memory alive, sharing pictures and stories ultimately bringing such a wide span of King's friends and fans together as one group. I am not sure even Robbin realized the awesome affect he had on those who knew him and thousands and thousands who never had the pleasure of hanging in his presence. But I have to think he's pleased.

                      Rock on King.

(we'll I'm at work, so, it's a cup of coffee.. the glass, later. LOL)

                        Thanks Dan,

From my perspective, I'd have to say that if he were still alive today, he'd be blown away to know that people still think of him. Like all of us, we want our lives to count for something; to matter to someone. He certainly did.

Awesome - don't see many shots of RC with his Hamers. Still prefer Jackson's FB by a mile, but this is a cool pic! Thanks for posting it.

Agree...he had a few of these Hamer birds and yes not many pics. I've got a couple. I'll dig them out & post them.

There was a Red one that was given as a gift to his friend, Tak Yonemochi....a Japanese journalist, producer and musician.

Tak's band was 'Air Pavilion' in which both Robbin and Tom Croucier (Juan's brother) played in.

Cool pic! The pickup config on the white bird is different. Is that a single coil stacked right on top of the humbucker???
