No, they are not coming near me that I can see this year. I was hoping they would hit the Minneapolis area. I really need to see them once more before they end up hanging up their boots.

I don't see why you need a review of them... Maiden has always been solid, every time I've seen them...

Yeah, I'm not worrying about them sucking, I was thinking more like setlist and stuff which I've been able to find on other sites

And while we're talking about Maiden, how do you pronounce Janick Gers? I've heard too many ways.... Yanick YAY-nick, Jan-ick, JAY-nick.... Don't want to start the debate of whether he belongs or not, I love the guy

Saw them this past Sunday in Virginia. Fantastic show!!! Every bit as good as the 2008 "retro" tour, though with this one it helps if you love the Seventh Son record as much as I do.

It was hot as blazes that day, and Bruce and Steve were running around the stage like madmen--Bruce's singing was awesome, too. I'd have collapsed by the fourth song if I tried that.

Saw em last night at Newark NJ. They sounded and played great. The only thing lacking was their omission of Hallowed from their setlist, but other songs they rarely play like The Prisoner and the 7th son title track made up for that. I saw this w my friend who was w me when we saw em on the original tour in ’89. Man, what a long strange trip!

But the most shocking thing of the whole night was Dave Murray playing a Gibson V during a song, a black w white pickguard similar to what Hammett used to use. I saw the V and figured it was Smith but was flat out shocked to see Murray with it! Even Bruce mentioned it was weird seeing him play that thing! I think he also played an LP that night as well.
"Your work is ingenius…it’s quality work….and there are simply too many notes…that’s all, just cut a few, and it’ll be perfect."

I saw them on July 4th. Great great great show. Weird Dave played a V as well, but it was white with a white pick gaurd and Bruce mentioned it too. Weird. He also played a cherry sunburst LP as well as his signiture axes. Adrien played his Jackson stuff and a gold top LP w P90s and a Gibson SG with a piece sign. And another LP too. Cant remember what finish

Show was about 1h45 in length.
                          ---------

Pretty good show. These guys are in good shape for their age. Bruce was really impressive jumping and running all around the stage. His voice was awesome.

The "white" theme of the stage was kinda weird sometimes depending on the lighting FX but except that, they delivered fireworks, vertical fire throwers, plenty of Eddies and a good wall of sound!

I saw them 4 times over the years. They are true to their roots. Around 10 years ago, it was like a revelation seeing these guys still rockin' after all these years and still enjoying it. For me it was like the kick in needed at that time and since then, I've been back into guitars and music.

                          --------

Hats off to Alice Cooper too. Never been a huge fan but he gave a good show too. Lots of theatrical stuff and good backing band. Orianthi (despite all the bitchin' about her on the internet) did a good job as one of the 3 guitar players on stage with Alice.

I gotta give him the credit that he had a "modern" sound and that he adapted it impressively to his music.

Daddy and his 15 years old both had a blast last evening and feeling that my son was really happy about it made it priceless.

                          Rock on everyone!

Why is it weird? Ever see real old clips of Iron Maiden... they even played Deans. And Dave was endorsed by ESP and had signature strats at one time.
And Adrian's LP is a Deluxe that had minibuckers, but the bridge pup was routed out for a regular humbucker a very long time ago which you can also see in very old Maiden footage.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Alice Cooper was another one I forgot to mention. To be honest, I couldnt have cared less if we saw him or not, I figured I only know like 2 of his songs so meh...

Well, what a show he put on! Turns out I knew a lot more AC than I thought as I only ended up not knowing one song. I saw this blonde chick with a PRS on stage and was like, holy shit is that Orianthi? Turns out it was, that made it even better. In the end, Im really glad I got to see AC, he rocked the hell out of it.
Imagine, being able to be magically whisked away to... Delaware. Hi... Im in... Delaware...

Its not weird in a bad way, it was cool. Vs are great. Ill admit I never followed maiden super close, so all I remember is their sig models really so to see Dave with a V was a bit different.
