Pretty close to the original, except Gene Hoglan's using quite a bit of double bass drumming. The CD also has covers of Queen's Dragon Attack and Scorpions' Animal Magnetism.

Cool cover. One of my all time favorite solos, and this one missed the mark for me a bit. He left out half of the notes, and it doesn't have the same feeling that the original had. But, good job, fun to listen to...
I bought it about a week ago... peer pressure. haha. I haven't listened to it yet. :s
And Gene Hoglan is awesome. Too bad Ron Rinehart isn't able to sing anymore. Dark Angel is one of the greatest bands of all time to me.
Yes, I was a big fan of Dark Angel. I heard Ron turned born again and didn't want to do metal any longer, or was that before the brief reunion? Didn't know he couldn't sing any more.

They wanted to keep it close to the original without changing it too much. And, anyway, it's Alex Fuckin' Skolnick, so he can do the solo any way what he wants!

Yeah, that was before the reunion. During the reunion something else happened, apparently he has some condition that is life threatening and singing makes it worse.
I've seen Dark Angel a bunch of times back in the day. Leave Scars and Time Does Not Heal are just awesome albums that I still listen to regularly. They were so great live.
And as for Testament. I was a fan and saw them a bunch of times when they were still The Legacy. Honestly wasn't the biggest fan, but they were good and local and played a lot, so I was just lucky to see them as many times as I have.
