I don't like all of his songs either, i'm just saying he has written some epic tunes. The material is within the confines of his playing style, he's been around a long time doing what he does. Eventually things get old for people. If any of his albums he is putting out today or in the last 10 years whatever, if he put it out in 1985, i think we would probably all be saying it is badass.
Trem and Axegrinder.........I think both of you may have misunderstood...........or I may have used the wrong words..........I was referring only to the last three or four albums and then I was referring more toward the lyrics than the music........In my opinion the first Five albums are great from all aspects.......but your last sentence is very correct...I love them all...I just think he hit some lower points with some albums but then would pick back up the next time....Alchemy to me is just killer heavy...reminds me of Marching Out............Facing the Animal brings back memories of Trilogy and Oddssey....Perpetual Flame and Relentless could have been great if he would have used Ripper properly...........Inspirations is a killer cover album and I like his take better than the original on most of the songs and of course Rising Force is the ultimate.........MM

Then check out Michael Romeo. Much more talented than Yngwie, AND he can write a fucking song.

" people's writing skills and some critical thinking."

Thanks for the help with that. I am currently working toward another degree, mostly involving writing.....so being on the defensive is helping.................MM

here's the bottom line on Yngwie according to "my taste"- as a guitar player i have him very high up on the ability level, probably the highest.
but as a songwriter, he's one dimensional at the very best, and i find that odd given his love of Blackmore and Hendrix.
and in the end, if i can't listen to a song, it gets the proverbial "yngwie Axe" real quick.

Blame Tommy for my recent message board ejaculations. That fucking fruitbat. But since he called me back here I see no reason why I can't exercise some english here, had fairly little practice in that language this year... so why not with snobby manner? I've done plenty of replies à la "suck a dick bitch!" or something similar in that style. I'm no authority in English language, but I'm an authority when it comes to pork, so someone even mentioning walmart pork rinds makes me to go out and get some Jamón Ibérico de Bellota... damn, being an elitists is much more fun and tastier experience than being a bolshevik.

Tommy and Bill get me and so do some of the others who are closer friends here as they understand my sarcastic manner and dry sense of humour... that's the way a lot of my friends communicate. I know I annoy the shit out of many but at least those who get me, get some kick out of it.
I remember the time when a lot of heated debates and bullshit was going on, It was pretty fun, certainly boosted up people's writing skills and some critical thinking (for those who didn't pussed out), Bengal was the man in this.

Spoono Gettin'Snort (Nuno Bettencourt) is so remarkable, not just his leads,m, but his song structure
is fantastic as well, but I can't get past Gary Cherone for very long, and not because he can't sing,
he can belt them out, but his voice just headaches my ears in large doses.
the first Extreme album is a mixed tone of very early EVH and Warren DeMartini "Invasion of Your Privacy" neighborhood type sound, and it's fuckin' ridiculously
great. Pat Badger is a strong bass player too, they can all sing as well, but something about Gary's voice just
doesn't do it for me, imagine Nuno paired up with a Ray Gillen, or Sebastian Bach, etc. that would be interesting.

Let me give you a little inside information on Endrik. He's a young kid, way beyond his years. Quite knowledgeable on many things,
he's not right about everything, but on most things i find he shoots pretty close to the dartboard, even when i don't agree with him.
Not to mention he came all the way out here from Estonia to visit me, unfortunately for him he was in culture shock
from the first minute. metal Maniac i do not know, and is just another one of us who has his favorites and his own taste,
and who's to say what's right or wrong? after myself of course, I am the all wise and ever knowing El Headacheo extraordinaireo.
Did not know he was a young Kid.......very impressive.......very intellegent......I will drop the back and forth but at the same time no need to blame me for the whole thing....yeah you don't know me but that does not mean my opinion is any less valuable than his or anyboby else for that matter........I do not think I am better than anyone else but I refuse to be anyone's door mat!
