      hey Bill

that's exactly what I've been trying to do lately. With the Axe I can blend different amps with different power amp section and tone stacks speaker cabs etc.I've been writing a bunch of original stuff and getting ready to finally start recording it (just got a bass last week)and I'm using 2 different patches alot . One is a Marshall AFD model blended with a Cameron Atomica. It kicks major ass and I'm using it for my 7 string Greg howe-ish "fusiony stuff", the other is a blend of the TriAxis Yellow and a Recto Red Modern, for my heavier stuff. Last night someone paosted a patch of a Fryetter D60 blended with a Recto and it sounds really good, (may have to use that one too)This allows yout o get the best of each amp type into one amp. when I used real amps I always wished I could have an amp that is a cross between a Mark IV and a Recto , or a Recto and a 5150
      Now I can

      Top 5 for me
      EVH
      Loomis
      Petrucci
Greg Howe (from the"Parallax" CD sick lead tone on that CD)
      Warren Dimartini
