Matt he used to kill our asses back in the day. We took from him. Now take that guitar from him and show him what you learned.

Is our Richard James gonna be there..he should be. He's took from him and ran with it. But he's bald..like me..which is cool. We shave our balls. I'm sure George Lynch shaves his balls. He's into his body..hopefly Mick isn't . If Mick and Jeff show up. Tell them the Cleveland cop with the mohawk still loves them. Those guys were a blast on ETS tour. Reb Beach smoked!!!

I must say. The wife and I hung around with Reb and his wife for a couple hours. Just us..while Reb was warming up with a little POD /small Peavey. That guy is fuggin' unhuman. We talked about George at length. I asked Reb what he thought about George. He was always a fan of his. But he had a newfound respect and admiration to how amazing his solos were. He wanted to do them justice out of respect..from his heart. Because they are works of art that are loved by so many...seriously. So, He did the best George Impression Impression he could deliver, and did a great job. These are facts.

Reb is a great guitarist, but I found the whole spiel Don gave about hiring him on the Live from the Sun DVD to be hilarious these days.

"Tons of guys came in and said 'I can do George Lynch' and I said no. We don't want that. Then Reb came in and said, 'I can't do George Lynch, I can only do Reb Beach.'"

And then just a few years later, Don hires quite possibly the best Lynch mimic there is. :P

As for Reb's take on the solos...a lot of them were great, some I was a little "meh" on. "In My Dreams" for instance when he goes into the 12-15-19/20 tapping portion, he did a goofy variation with a wah that I thought was crap. Even with that, he was probably my favorite Lynch replacement. Faithful for the most part, but not a complete mimic. He brought his own flavor in. Levin, while a great guy and hell of a guitarist, seems stuck in a "what would George do?" rut. And honestly, I can find 20 guys like that on YouTube (just like Journey!). :P
