Jake E Lee Played an RR?

I saw a picture of Jake with an RR I never knew he played them. A collector I know in Florida told me he has one of Jakes RR's with a rising sun graphic. I played it once along time ago & thought he was trying to scam me cause Jake played
Charvels back in the old days. I guess I was wrong unless this pic isn't real?

That pictures real. If I remember right that guitar belonged to ozzy.

Yep, I remember that pic from Jake's website years ago. He pulled the volume knob out because he hated how close to the bridge it was.

That guitar, iirc, has a serial of 00025 or something to that extent. It was sold on ebay within the past few years.

Just heard back from my friend who had Jakes Rising sun RR he said he sold it to a guy in Sweeden back in 09!

i have nothing great to add, but i guess it would make sense that jake would play an RR, especially on the RR songs in a live set. seeing a vid would be cool.

The rising sun RR was Black but had red & white for the graphic.

I saw both the BATM and TUS tours...he played only Charvel Strats live. The RR was probably just a photo op or perhaps he used it in the studio. As someone mentioned, the first place I saw that pic was in Hit Parader in around '83-'84.
