  • Robbin Crosby playing an RR?

The video says Pasadena 6/17/1983 and it looks like he's playing a silver or white RR. Could just be from the lighting and it's a double Rhoads, but it sure looks like a RR. The v-shaped trim plate below the bridge says RR to me. I don't think I've ever seen a video of him playing one before. Wonder if Warren was ever photographed playing ANY kind of V - RR or Double R?

Yep, Grover gave him a white Student Model Rhoads as a 'loaner' while his Black Roundhorn (J0005) was being built.

Here's a pic from that show....

I know he was playing at least one RR very early on, but because of his size he did ont get on with it. I thought the one he had was black, but I could be wrong.

I thought you might know something about it Curt! That's probably my favorite video of Robbin playing. The first minute is the best part - playing the intro and he motions to the crowd, they light up and you can tell he's stoked by their response! That's a great showman and musician coming into form right there. Great pic! Still keepin' my eye out for the new site.
And mr- that guitar does look too small on him - amen for Big Red!

Didnt Jackson later make him the "king v"? Nis nickname was king.
                    They still make them.

Yes, they still make them, but it's a smaller size. It's no longer the original big king size Double Rhoads, and not even the medium size that came after.

Never knew it was a double Rhoads...I should have recognized that.
