As a guitarists I understood why Marty stopped playing metal...gotta do what you love as an artist. As a fan I was kind of annoyed that he pretty much slagged the scene when he split.
But now I'm just really happy to see he's managed to make the transition with his integrity completely intact. You don't have to be an artist to recognize he's doing important work here. That scene where the girl hits him with the pillow? And like all the FEATHERS just come BURSTING out? Groundbreaking, and it just says so so much that no other artist I know of has been able to say.....all without speaking a word.
Judging by the circle the band formed at the beginning of the film and the genuine laughter and fun later as they shared drinks this is a band that is here to stay. You just get pulled along by their infectious and obvious friendship.
What can I say... I'm a fan!Comment

I cannot begin to express how thankful I am he was not seen with a Jackson in that video. Though it means less sales to J-poppers, I think I can live with that.
