  • Question on new Morton Sig

I am reading the description of the new Morton signature Dominion (the Pro version), and wasn't quite sure what the two way slider switch was for. I only see the 3-way switch and 2 mini toggles for coil taps.

    From the description:

"Its chambered mahogany body is bound and comes in Black and Ivory gloss finishes, and the two DiMarzio® Mark Morton Dominion™ Signature humbucking pickups are wired in a dual-circuit design (lead, rhythm) with a two-way slider switch, threeway toggle pickup selector switch and two coil-tap toggle switches (one for each pickup)."

so the slider selects between lead & rhythm circuits? I wonder what each circuit does?

I was wondering the same thing yesterday when I read that description. I think someone at Jackson just screwed up the specs on the website.
They used to say that it had a Schaller 456 fine-tuning bridge and had jumbo frets, but it's just got a regular TOM/stoptail and medium frets. And they have always had the Bourbon Burst and Old School Burst colors mixed up. So, yeah, I'm guessing the specs on the new black and white models are wrong, too.

I've been wanting a left handed Morton sig for a long time. Ohh lord!! I wish.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

I'm guessing the slider automatically sets the volume and tone controls to "rhythm" for when you're not playing solos, and "lead" when you're not playing rhythm, perhaps through resistors, so you don't have to actually fiddle with them knobby things on the top of the body.

But where would the two-way slider switch even be? I don't see one on there, either. http://jacksonguitars.com/features/coming-soon/

So, if you buy one of these with the assumption that it DOES have a slider switch, find out that it doesn't .....false advertising lawsuit=free guitar?
