Haven't heard a lot but like what I have. I love Andy's solo in At the Gates - Cold.

Big Mercyful Fate fan but Andy LaRocque's guitar work blows me away. Was lucky enough to see the King perform with Metallica at Ozzfest in '08 and it was amazing. I wish he'd tour or play more, as a Dallas native with him living in the area hopefully if he decides to play a gig other than some random European metal festival he'll play somewhere close by.

Abigail, Them, Conspiracy, The Eye, Voodoo are his best. The rest have some moments, but aren't my favorites.

Puppet Master and Spider's Lullabye are pretty good too.

I think the production has gotten increasingly worse. He needs a really good producer. I'd love for Mikee Dee to return. That guy is an amazing drummer. Love the LaRocque/Denner combo. Drover was good. Pete Blakk was good. Not really a fan of the other lead guitarists.

Got tickets for King Diamond in December already. The really weird part of this concert is that Exodus is opening up. I would think Exodus would be the headliner ???

I've seen Exodus live in a club you won't be disappointed, Baloff was on vocals with a broken leg, the pit was madness!!! I've never seen King Diamond , my favorite albums are Them, Abigail, The Eye and Conspiracy didn't follow after those albums. Enjoy

i loved merciful fate, them and conspiracy for King. the rest, although good music, just became too cheesy for me. Shadows and The Eye were pretty good tho

+1. As cool as an Abigail tour sounds, I'd rather hear GMYS front to back. Them/Conspiracy was his high point for a long long time as a bunch of hit or miss albums followed, but he came back with two or three metal masterpieces starting in 2002. There never was a tour for GMYS as I recall, as apparently there were health issues at the time. Abigail II is incredible as well, better than the first. I caught the tour for that one. Anyone stuck on Conspiracy should move on.

                          I, O'Brian, have spoken.

Don't Break the Oath, Abigail, Them, Conspiracy. then King lost me kinda... Although I like a lot of MF. Seen the band quite a few times and met him once or twice. Super nice guy. Andy was cool as well. Seems the other guys were kinda cold. But I think they didn't speak great english, not sure. Debating about going to the Abigail tour coming up but have go to Chicago or Detroit. Neither of which excite me much.

Mercyful Fate! classic band, saw them several times '83-'84 in Holland. Very raw live band at the time.
