  • John Mayor plays a Jackson?

Watching the grammys and what do I see. John mayor all geeked out and playing an old pink soloist. Interesting to say the least.

There's been a few pics circulating of him playing that over the last little while..

He ended his relationship with Fender last October. So now he plays a Fender-owned brand. Yeah, that'll teach the bastiges!

The thing I like is right now he can play whatever he wants and he's choosing an old school soloist. Good choice IMO, although I prefer a blade to mini toggles. It was the main reason I chose a model 5 over a model 6 back in the day.

When I saw it on the grammys it looked more like a burgundy mist than pink, but it probably getting hit with a colored light the whole time.

Not exactly old school when it's a 30th anniversary model, eh?

A little free advertising at the Grammys never hurt anyone. Hope whoever is heading up Jackson right now gives him or his guitar tech a call to say thank you. And, oh, is there anything we can do for you?

I just saw the grammy thing here in Ireland. Cool. If soloists become "popular" cool again I imagine the custom shop lead times will go on forever as famous people jump the queue for their "john Mayer" guitar.
Power chords...what more do you need?!

I have at least one tv on all the time.
Don't always 'watch' what's on, but its on. Hell, sometimes I think I should have been around in 'the old days' when you listened to radio.

What else were we to watch? I realize that there were two episodes of Sister Wives on, but that can't compare. lol
