I saw Ensiferum supported by Omnium Gatherum and Insomnium last Tuesday in London.
A nice impressive array of RR1s on display. Excellent bands too. My only down thought was I felt Markus (guy from Insomnium) seemed to really struggle with his Mesa MkIV he was using. I felt his pain. I had this amp for about a year. After a year trying to convince myself that the amp was awesome and I was just not doing it right, I finally got frustrated and went back to my Marshalls. In a way it was nice to get a little validation from a pro player
But excellent playing and music all round.
If you're into melodic death metal but on the more catchy thought-out side of things, give these bands a look!
