Chris Holmes....wtf happenned?

I recently read one or two interviews where he claims that rock is dead in America and that kids listen to "****** music" and that he is living in Finland now where rock is alive, apparently. There are Youtube videos of his life there.
Its a shame he's got rascist views, I think he's a funny character otherwise. Badass back in the day, lunatic nowadays.

Yeah , she was married to Jim Gillette before Holmes I think... ( not sure on the lastname spelling) he was the front man for NITRO (MAB's band in the 80's) dude had some pipes. I liked W.A.S.P back in the day... hey dude, lets party!

Rob Zombie (who wasn't part of the Glam era) has often said that we never recovered from what Grunge destroyed.
And of course, Alice Cooper asking why wouldn't people want to be Motley Crue when compared to the sniveling whimps that are out today.

I met him at NAMM about 2 years ago. He was very sweaty and very chatty. Told me that when he toured with Maiden he got to wear the Eddie costume one night but didn't know how to walk on stilts and fell over.

Every time I think of him I recall a part of Slash's book where Chris had been saying in the 80s LA scene that "n----rs shouldn't play guitar." That being my first impression of Holmes' personality is all I needed to know.

No one will work with him. Stet Howland started W.A.S., Where Angels Suffer, with him and he was promptly kicked out. Guy never showers and smells sooo bad. Was he really married to Lita? I'd never heard that. What years?

The guy is a legend but I think Blackie probably covered for the dude over the years. I love his playing that much that I bought a Charvel DST star and painted it yellow but even I know he's a car wreck.
Still, his song writing is fine, it's just the terrible "production" and terrible vocals that's making everyone laugh at him. If he gets with someone that knows how to use Audacity and a guy that can sing I'm sure he'd put out something decent. You can still hear his magic - just about! - in his solos.

Yep, Slash's book is all true. Even the parts (just about all of it) when he was smacked out of his face. He remembers it all clearly!

I'm not saying Chris isn't a racist but I doubt that story is 100% accurate.

Slash's book made me lose pretty much all the respect I had for him (Slash, not Chris Holmes). He talks about being on smack all the time and driving about smashing cars and shit like it was all a big joke and acceptable now because back then he was wasted. Came across like a total fucking dick.
Duff's book on the other hand, that one was inspirational. Takes responsibility for his mistakes and leads his life a better way now. Very classy guy. Even if he's nowhere near as talented as Slash!.
