      The sad thing is:
I had Slaughter at my bar. I had Ace Frehley AND Peter Criss, on the same night, getting together after their individual sets doing a 3rd set of KISS tunes. Dan Hartman was a regular customer and performer (before my time). I think Paul Stanley even did a solo night (before my time).

But, would VV lower himself to ever play in a bar????

So I know nothing really about him other then he had a couple cool guitars and was in Kiss for a heartbeat. Having absolutely no dog in the hunt (I'm not a big Kiss fan, don't dislike them, just not really my cup of tea) if there was a documentary on this guy I'd watch it. He was a public figure so I don't see it as an invasion (cough cough) but if he's left the lime light and is trying to just live his life and not be a rock star then he should be left alone. The part where this breaks down is if he f*cked people (selling CD sets or whatever and never delivering) then yeah, he should be hounded, at that point he's a business and he's screwing people out of their money.

but in the end I would certainly watch the doc, but it would also be taken with a grain of salt if he didn't actively give his side of things.
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

Anyone hanging around spamming a message board for some "rock star" with a tent in their shorts waiting for whatever piece of shit he's going to sell get whatever they deserve. It's fucking weird. Like screaming at One Direction weird. You're a grown man, not a tween.

I have bands that I am a massive fan of their music. Buy the album! Go to their show! Grab a shirt! But if you find yourself on a messaging board chatting with like minded losers about whether this one likes that one, and why your guy is a great guy while the other ones are pieces of shit, take heed: your life has flown right the fuck off the tracks and you should focus your efforts on getting back on.

I'm not talking about someone mentioning Lars is a dick, or Roth is weird, or whatever. I'm talking about the people chasing guys who used to be in a band, maybe in the pathetic hope of becoming his friend or something.

So yeah, VV sounds like a real shifty shitbag, but I'd probably be avoiding these Mark David Chapmans in the making too.

I remember the last real news on Vinnie, what a pos:

From the Heart of Has-Been Darkness (i.e. Murfreesboro) comes this heinous,HEINOUS little news item: Rutherford County police arrested former KISS guitarist and current ‘Boro resident Vinnie Vincent — real name Vincent John Cusano — Saturday night after his wife showed up at the sheriff’s office bloodied, beaten and perfumed in alcohol. The 44-year-old Diane Vincent claimed to have escaped the couple’s home following a violent altercation between the two, spurred by Vincent’s communication with an unnamed female “subject.” This according to TMZ. (Yeah, I know.)As for the (alleged) details: In an act worse than any of his musical contributions to Lick It Up, Vincent — once known as “The Ankh Warrior” — allegedly smacked Diane in the face before dragging her by her hair through a pile of broken glass and throwing her to the ground repeatedly.
              What an (alleged) scumbag.
Compounding this (alleged) ugliness: Police reportedly found the bodies of four dead dogs sealed in containers at the Vincent home. What a fucking (alleged) scumbag. Diane Vincent has claimed the dogs were killed by one of their more “aggressive” dogs. See him lookin' like an Aqua Net-coiffed Penny Marshall in his mug shot (above).
Ugh, sounds like some Amores perros shit....

Be careful, DV cases aren't 99%/1% or 80%/20% female/male victims

60%/40% is a more substantiated number (with lesbian couples having the highest DV reports, of all things,..)
for al we know she threw a drunk tantrum and got violent, leaving Mr. Cusano with no other alternative than to defend himself
Gender profiling fucks up justice more than we realise

Someone who wants to preserve the memories.

Sold the guitars, kept the dogs.

He wrote all the musical themes for for Happy Days. I love that show. Fonzie was my hero.

VV was firey as hell. I used to sound kinda like him on my old casette tapes. Many artists have some sort of "mental illness", eccentrics don't connect with common folks. Very conflicted kinda sort within social norms. Like Robert Blake, he's not acting..he's in a dark, real place that can go south quick. Howard Hughes, Greta Garbo, Marylin Monroe, Eddie Van Halen and ect.

Crazy, absorbed, troubled artists become famous. That attracts partners. Partners more 'normal' than the artists and then fuck all.

Robert Blakes last role was as the Devil in Lost Highway. Also happened to be Richard Pryors last movie.

Yeah VV is really interesting. Didn't he do another show aside from Happy Days also? To be honest he also pretty much saved KISS comeback

Horns, I'm married to an artist- top schools in NYC all that shit. She's a normal woman- soccer player, field hockey, getting drunk out behind the school and letting me stick my hands up her skirt.... A solid American.

She was surrounded by affected weirdos who were pretty sure purple hair made them talents.

Most "normal people" wouldn't be around misinthropic assholes for long than it takes to roll their eyes or give them a rap in the beak- you'd pass them as they mopped the floor or cut you off in the parking lot and move on.

But for some artists, their assholery gets promoted to being an almost virtue- part of their mystique. And other people put up with it because, unlike the jerkoff pushing a mop who can't get along with others, this guy wrote some songs we like/ plays a character we like/ wrote a book we like/ made a device we like.

See? People who would be banished from our world out of hand suddenly have a drawbridge in.

It's not his fault he's an asshole! He's just much so darn more FEELEY than us. He got the FEELS so bad it makes them rip people off, act like an asshole in public, take advantage of weaker people, take advantage of the people who care about him...

Wait!! That sounds familiar! Like every no talent asshole on the face of the earth.

And of course all of us in one form or another are looking for Mommy and Daddy, to one degree or another, so we'll explain Daddy's repellant and childish behavior in the same language used by children the world over.... Daddy's shitty to fans because he works so hard... Daddy can't keep a band together because my Daddy is too much of a perfectionist. Daddy does drugs and misses my concert I paid for because he's so stresssd out by things normal people would take in stride and enjoy because he's so sensitive.....that's how I know he understands me!
