  • Does anyone have a Corey Beaulieu KV?

Was talking to a friend the other day and it occurred to me that I don't recall EVER seeing one posted here, other forum or facebook etc posting one..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

I had to google it... never heard of it till just now!

I've never seen one listed for sale for that matter either. I don't constantly search, but I do check ebay and reverb enough.

I've had one of the X series KV7 models for a little over a year now, and I love it. Played a few gigs with it and it is super solid all around. I did a few mods to it and changed out the pickups and the Floyd so now it's even better, but at its core it is still quite a great guitar!

I would really want a KV7, but with a few different things, namely, a tone knob, a blade switch instead of toggle, more importantly, quilt maple rather than flame, and most importantly, NORMAL SIZED INLAYS. Since its an expensive custom shop piece , I would want to get everything I want. But they wont change a thing because its an artist model. At the very least, just give me the normal Jackson inlays and quilted maple top. I'll happily change the pickups to EMG 81-7 and 707 TW. But, oh well.... Maybe I should ask Corey himself, if he could at least allow the normal sized inlays and quilt maple top? That body shape with a little extra edge and reversed headstock make it THE PERFECT 7 string to me.
