Yeah BATM still gets me to this day....he's had some incredible compositions over the years. I need to revisit some Badlands...

                    BATM is a masterpiece.
Nice to see the love for Killer of Giants. It's one of my favorite guitar pieces from start to finish.

Great question, as good as he was I can't really say there is a clear opus magnum out there. So many times he was limited to a quick 16-bar teaser solo and maybe a ride out solo. That's true even with Badlands. I wish he recorded epic 3-minute solos like Gilmour. His solo album AFPM was a disappointment for me.

I'm a big Jake E. Lee fan and count him among my primary influences. I've always been most impressed by his frenetic rhythm playing, which was his way to explode on the scene with Ozzy in '83 without being a Randy clone. His solos were not as memorable as Randy's, but Jake's rhythm playing and tone is up there with ANYONE, and made Ozzy heavier.

I'd probably go with BATM and Killer of Giants, as well as both High Wire solos as my favorites of Jake's.

I always liked his solo in the Badlands cover of Fire and Rain. It fits the song perfectly.

Yep. Not a big Ozzy fan, but this solo is killer.

Rumblin' Train. Love the raw sound, power, and genuine feel.

I can fake the "Bark" solo and dudes would tell me, "You rock!." If I tried to fake "Rumblin" I would be exposed for the sloppy slurring player that can't do shit without a ton of gain & a delay in the chain.
