The Soldano that you speak of that was in his rack was an SLO single channel with special mods done by Micheal Soldano. It recently sold on EBay for in the $4g range. Yeow.
I did also hear him say he used a Duncan full shred, and he said that the first album was recorded with his Les paul.
It's funny that way back then he said that he couldn't go back to the Les paul because so much of his style depended on the Floyd and he couldn't get used to playing with out it.
Now all i see him with are Les Pauls in Def lepard.

My understanding is that VC was instumental in the design of the Full Shred. They are super bright and that tone came from working with him.
Also, on the Soldano...his rackmount unit was not single channel. He had an early SLO. They did not make single channels amps until they pieced on together for George Lynch in the late 90's. Viv's was much earlier. I would take that ebay story with a grain is salt (IMHO).
Ok, now you guys are confusing me. Someone said that the Cracked Mirror pickguard was the one that used to be the Last in Line graphic, and now bad seed says that it is in the Stars video in the begining.
I Could SWEAR that I saw Viv playing that Last in Line graphic on one of the clips that I saw on TV from the Hearing Aid sessions. I've never seen the video, but it was on one of those top 100 things or somet hing where they were showing all the guitarists on the album doing there differnt solos.

What I know is in the summer of 85, that guitar was already in natural color and Jackson pickup.
It originally had Last in Line graphic, confirmed by Vivian in the interview from 85.
