I was at Ozzfest (Mansfield, MA) on Monday where BLS opened up the main stage. Zakk shredded his RR after announcing "God bless Randy Rhodes". Pretty psyched on that.

Hey V - What's up with the crowd in you pics? They look like the most docile metalheads I've ever seen.

Zakk is a class act for sure. I met him at the Rock Walk induction for Randy, and he was really nice. I gained more respect for him after I met him.

Re: Zakk Wylde playing his RR

was that one of randy's guitars, or did he get it and just have his mother sign it? Sometimes i dont like his attitude when he puts down other groups just because it is not his style of music. I respect all music so that kinda gets me pissed, but he is a great player.

Totally irrelavant, but did anyone else notice that Zakk is losing his hair? He's usually always wearing a cap now. Getting older, or too much coke? He could always do a beard combover

Back to the original thought though, Zakk rules! He's always put Randy way above himself as his hero, and gave credit where it was due. (Dimebag being an awesome player for example) The bands he puts down deserve it anyway because they DO SUCK!!! IMO (and obviously in Zakk's opinion also) Being politically correct has nothing to do with being a rock star

Re: Zakk Wylde playing his RR

I worked Ozzfest in Mansfield. Eventually 20,000+ showed up. Some freakin' nutcase ripped one of my guys two-way radio from his hands and proceeded to key the mike for the entire show. Screwed me up until we all switched channels {duh}. The next night, said bozo must have been at the Puddle of Mudd/3 Doors Down/Nickelback show, because we reverted back to our original channel, and there he was. I'm waiting for the battery to run out on him. Also the usual kids kicking in the fence, and making a mad dash to get inside. It's funny to watch the police preparing for 20+ kids to get over the fence. I shoulda' took some pics of that! I took quite a few pics including a few scantily clad Metal girls, Ozzy, Iommi, Butler, Ward, Kerry King, & Zack {with two Hell's Angels and two hot blondes}. 20 ft. from my office there's two tent areas, where most of the bands hang out. They had three trailers for Sabbath, as they actually slept there until 4 AM. Ozzy drove by in a golf cart about 10 times accompanied by his scary lookin' bodyguard. Ozzy's head was cocked sideways and he seemed absolutely oblivious. I watched him walk to the trailer in that trademarked shuffle and had to laugh. Talked with Zack, Iommi, and Bill Ward. Kerry King walked by me without a glance. He looked very pissed {or maybe that's how he always looks}. Never saw any of Priest's members. They stayed locked up in their buses until 1 min. before show time. Tonight is Kiss/Poison. I definately have to talk to C.C. DeVille. He seems like such a character. Sabbath Rocked, Priest rocked, Lamb of God were pretty good, but most of what I heard all day was pretty doomed out. Being 44, the "growling" is not really my thing.
