WTF? Vai playing a Sunburst Meanie?

I am watching an old video I have of Steve Vai playing with Alcatrazz and it looks like the Charvel that he is playing is Sunburst?! [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

I haven't watched this video in a coupla years. I thought it sucked when I first got it. But now that I am a Charvel fan, I have a new appreciation for it. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Cool. He greats a great tone out it.

Much better than Yngwie's tone with Alcatrazz. However, Yngwie's playing is unparalleled. JMO, but, I think Yngwie went straight downhill after Alcatrazz and Steeler.

If you don't have it, get the live video of Yngwie playing with Alcatrazz in 1984. It will blow you away. [img]/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img]

He also plays a 22 fret rosewood boarded Soloist for 1 song (Night Games). Unfortunately, he doesn't take a solo in it.

I thought Vai sounded good on that video, too.
His interpretation of "Jet to Jet" was different but
still cool.

Vai can still play..10 hrs a day practicing..He'd probably break it though..wal mart aint known for its quality merchandise [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Oh believe me, they don't play any better either! Any good artist would still sound decent on them though...
