OK, we can`t disagree on Emperor, Nevermore and Opeth, basically meaning Tveitan, Loomis and Åkerfeldt.
But I also think Meshuggah should be mentioned.

Well Loomis worships Meshuggah and told me they are "amazing" ...he get's alot of his Rythm ideas from them during the time of Neon Black...when he told me that ...I bought all there stuff and my favorite Meshuggah is Contradictions collapse and none.

Opeth / My Dying Bride / Dan Swano's stuff / Therion / Amorphis / old Paradise lost / ....essential in any metal collection....IMO.....especially when you want to get baked .

Did I mention Psychotic Waltz ...one of my all time faves ...impossible to get until now ...I payed a fortune for a couple of their old discs ...but now they re-issued two on one sets available at the End or CM distro..and it's remasterd w / some bonus material.....thinkin' of buying those myself ...and I already have there stuff..They are awesome .. Actually Uli is a better "composer" now than in the Scorps era and a much better player ....he was awesome back then of course.

yes he did get better with age ...unlike many old shredders (EVH)..get his latest "Metamorphosis" disk ...it's his take on Vivaldi's four seasons ...I don't think any other player could ever touch it...not like that.
