I agree, it is a Floyd Rose model melded with an Iceman.

I think the top horn is more Mockingbird than Warlock tho.....

The inlays remind me of the ones from K. King models from BC Rich.
These ESP guitars are basically stealing ideas from other brand guitas and put together like pazzles.

Re: Dave Mustaine and the new Axxion

ESP has always been a company of other peoples ideas. I'd rather an ESP than an Ibenhad anyday though.

I have to stick up for Ibanez here--their Japanese instruments are pretty cool, and the non-signature guitars are priced very reasonably. Unlike ESP. Are you telling me that Dave left Jackson because they refused to build him THAT ugly piece of sh!t? Big loss there...

Re: Dave Mustaine and the new Axxion

If you lived as close to Hoshino as I do, you wouldn't have the urge to stick up for Ibeenscrewed guitars USA or Jap. I'm amazed with what they let thru Q.C. REALLY SCARY!!!!!!!

And NO....Dave didn't leave because of that shape....he came up with that LOOOONG before he jumped ship. I think even way before the Y2KV was introduced.

Hahaha! Good one!

I heard wasn't happy with the access (no wonder) and that they'll make him a new one. I think it's actually quite goodlooking. I wouldn't buy it, though. But I really like that flame DV8! Wouln't buy that one either, though:P

chuck schuldiner had a guitar almost exactly like that one that bc rich made for him , I have a copy really similar that dave has now that I made 10 years ago , maybe dave will see this post and try to post a pic , but that custom that chuck had was exactly like dave mustaines ground breaking guitar lol //Steve

Yup...that's the axe I posted from NAMM...didn't have a really good pic of it. Dave played it for the first time at NAMM and wasn't happy with the upper fret access so they were supposed to mod it a bit...doesn't look like he's gotten the modded one yet. It's a decently balanced guitar.

Looks alright to me, but the body could use some white binding and it would really stand out. The sunburst DV8 looks really good except for the black pickguard.
