I just saw them last night at Mohegan Sun Casino.
Here is a short review with a long one to follow:
Shadows Fall- they kick major ass. The drummer has a neck brace on and he is a monster of a player. Incredible.
Lead guitar player played a Washburn N-4 with a non-reversed neck. He looks like Nuno, sounds a little like Nuno and plays a Nuno guitar. He is a very good player. A cross between Nuno and Demartini IMHO.
They are really loud. The drums and bass were BOOMING.
Priest: bro's.. it was a religious experience.
Friggin flawless.
Tipton nailed everything. Halford nailed everthing. Tipton and Downing both played Hamers. KK played his red V the entire night. BTW, it had a Floyd on it and a V shaped tail stop like it was a string thru. Glen switched back and forth between his black strat with the maple neck and black fret markers and a weird shaped skinny explorer looking guitar with an unusual headstock. It was actually pretty ugly.
For songs here are the highlites:
Victim of Changes
an acoustic/electric version of Diamonds and Rust
Beyond the Realms of Death
The Sentinal
Electric Eye
Green Manalishi
Painkiller
The Ripper
All of their standard "hits"
Great sound, a great show and flawless execution from all members. PRIEST PRIEST PRIEST PRIEST...
