Anyone else picked this up yet? it only came out today so i don't expect many to of bought it yet. But to those who haven't, you should buy it. It's a f*cking great album, better than The Art Of Balance. [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

I got it the afternoon it came out. I don't think the music is better than AOB. There's a bit more of a chuggy grooviness in it and the guitar tone is better IMHO though.
It's definitely gone up in the "heaviness" department I would say but Jon's solos have never been more uninspiring to me than they are on this new album. I'm not bashing up, just saying I don't think it's better than AOB. It is a very good album though. The album comes with a DVD with some bootlegs and what they call "lessons" on two of the songs. All it shows you is how to play the riffs and the drums for one of the songs. There's also a sample CD included. Great buy for 8 bucks at Best Buy. No wonder those guys aren't making much money.

It doesn't really seem any different than the last album. If I would have paid more than the $8 they are asking for it, I would have been disappointed. [img]/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Definitely heavier than AOB in my opinion. It actually sounds a lot (song-structure wise) like "Of One Blood"...without the sloppiness.

Great dudes and all but they need to do something about the vocals....because it's not that good....never was that good.

there is much better bands out there with far less exposure..

But Shadows Falls is OK ...it's cool they got some fame but let's not get ridiculous.

Still much better vocals than Phil Labonte (Somber Eyes To The Sky)... Matt needs to do more of his death metal growling in more places in the songs. Yeah....I agree with you on the vocals there. The music and song structures are what's blazing on this disc (for me anyway)
I also liked Brian Fair's vocals in Overcast better anyway.

I picked it up along with the new KSE album... I must say I thoroughly enjoy the KSE album over the new shadow's fall. It is good, but not THAT good.

yes..

I just played the new shadows fall and the new Enforsaken back to back...and I heard much more coolness from enforsaken ..

that's just ONE example..plenty of awesome bands out there with little or no mention at all ....

so I'm going to mention them ...all of them..
