    I Love the playing / music of KSE but again ...ditch that horrible singer ...man he sucks ...big time ..WTF!!!!????

    I like the vocals in SF better than that freak in KSE and that's not saying too much..

    what's with those very gay "happy" vocals KSE does ...sounds like gay crap like Atreu (sp?) and all those other "happy" whining bastages ...that dye their hair and nails black....because that's what your supposed to do when you're gay.

    KSE should have went the way of Arch Enemy ...you know ...keep it "Real" as in real metal!

      I admit, it took me a while to get used to the new KSE singer's voice. I initially was drawn to the guitar tones, harmonies, and things like that.... the vox just kind of grew on me. I guess the vox in the new SF album kind of bother me. Most often his voice is very cool, however sometimes it becomes unbearable and I have to change it to another, metaller song. The guitar work is cool as always though! [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

        personally, i love brian fair's voice. i think he's awesome, and some of matt's clean vox on this record is really great.

              Haven't listened to a LOT of KSE, but I don't think their vox suffer from the same "gay happy" offkey caterwauling that bands like Atreyu suffer from. I think the singer nails the clean stuff pretty good, and you know how important strong vocals are to me, Bill [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

                and believe me "Strong vocals" is not a factor in KSE...unfortunately.

                It's a worn out , cookie cutter formula ...and I hate that...this whole happy gay crap is a trend ...just like rap metal , just like grunge or anything the mainstream seems to influence.

                All these bands sound the same ...again we have a new breed of music (which seemed decent) but became victim to what is "popular"...and what is "popular" always seems to suck balls.

                I mean really ...is dupilcating that crap some call "vocals" live a big accomplishment...I think not

                  I wouldn't go as far to say that they were happy and gay, but they are riding right on the very unforgiving border line. I heard it on the metal channel not too long ago, and when I heard the clean vocals I got really worried that they would get bashed for it. I can just hear the word sellout.

                  I thought the album was okay. I heard two tracks, and at this point I can't offer any names. I noticed that they didn't seem as technical as AOB, and the soloing has really gone down. Kinda depressing.

                    My neighbor brought over the dvd that comes with the cd when you buy the new Shadow's Fall. It has some live performances, as well as two guitar lessons. Basically, it is the two guitarists (I forget their names at the moment) showing you how to play two tracks off the new album. I would advise everyone who has not seen it to check it out.                       I just heard a KWS engage song on a movie soundtrack ...I forgot the movie , but it's absolutely horrible ...I could hardly tell it was KWE....very very gay . So gay it gave me homophobic chills.

                      it sounded like Creed with down syndrome..

                        The current KSE vocalist is terrible, i think he ruins the songs. the old vocalist was much better.

                            Many of us metal heads prefer "clean" vocals as opposed to the non stop screamers. I like a 80-20 blend. 80% clean and 20% rage.

                              I agree...I miss Jesse in KSE. Have you heard his new band Seemless? It's like post-hardcore stoner groove stuff. Not bad if you like that kinda stuff.
