Jackson is not sponsoring him. He burned his bridge with Carvin too as his original V from them was supposed to be returned I read somewhere. Sadly I do not remember what happened to that guitar though. Vinnie was a true talent and perfectionist but so much so that it ruined his own band. I really dug the tunes but am glad that Mark, Dana, and the rest of the guys came out with their own killer tunes!

I agree that he was a talented guitarist and songwriter, but unfortunately it seems he is his own worst enemy.

Besides, there is a difference between fine linens and disposable napkins. No one cares that some run of the mill top 40 hit had a bad note in it.
But artful masterpieces need to be perfect.

It has been a few years, but IIRC, there was a
V style guitar that Vinnie was absolutely attached to,
and when Shit Hit The Fan, he was told by someone in his Circle Of Trust, that the V was being taken by a Creditor. He was completely and utterly destroyed by that. IF he was able to hide or keep it, I had never heard.
If it was his Original Double V, I don't remember.
It would be pretty cool to hear him with a band again.
So many opinions of whether or not he SAVED KISS.
IDK, but he Definitely helped KISS stay above water,
IMHO.

Short version (as I am sure I will forget a detail or two):
Before a VVI show, guys came to collect. And while they were being escorted around the place, someone ran directly to the crew, who then proceeded to hide the gear. Otherwise there would have been no show that night.
