According to Norwegian media, dimmu is going to take a two year brake after Ozzfest, so go see them now [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
The are burned out, tired and need new enviroment..

Dimmu is a cool band. Are they pure Black Metal? No, their production, songwriting style, and record sales prevent such. But they are Black Metal enough to be called Black Metal, especially for dudes like us who couldn't care less about such useless little trends.

Purchasing a copy of Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is one of the best things I think I ever did for my CD collection. See that Darkthrone CD in my avatar? That probably wouldn't be there had I not purchased Dimmu's PEM.

Well , Dimmu has now reached "mall" satus here here in the states which is unfrigginbelivable!!

I never would have thought a "Satanic Black Metal" band would reach into the mainstream...well not really...but prettyy friggin close..

Cradle ...and now Dimmu...

but with their new found fame comes major suppoert from the label who dictate way too much control over the artist...and we get all sci-fi production that comes with it..not really the bands fault ...because they got to where they are at because they had a good product that became "marketable"....because it had a huge established underground folowing..

whenever something rears it's ugly head from the underground it always seems to get homoginized by the label.

probably why Dimmu may have some creative issues and turbulence within the band ...those guys are black metal artist caught in a sticky web of a higher power called corporate America!!

Just like Cradle ...I heard a new Cradle song ...damn , it's so homoginized it could be on the radio in constant rotation and it probably will be....I know that's was the intention.

Keep it here Norway dude , I would like to discuss a lot of things with you out of a major interest about your homeland..sounds like a awesome place with lots of brutal history ...I like that!

I love all great metal as you will soon find out but some of my favorite black metal bands are ..Mayhem , Darkthrone , Immortal , Behemoth , Thy Serpent , Impaled Nazarine , old Samael , Rotting Christ , Bathory , Ancient , Borknager , Old Mans Child , Gorgaroth , Enochian Cresent , Dimmu , Cradle , Naglfar, Emperor , Graveworm...there is a lot of great bands in black metal ...there is crap too like all styles of metal.
