They can all play their instruments, with Shagrath as an exception, but the music isn't good. It's not good, and it's not Black metal.
Spice girls had a really good drummer who played with them live... Do you like them too?

there are alot of idiots who claim dimmu is crap just like him. because they've had some success. the orchestrations make them cheesy or whatever...they have alot of piss poor excuses.

guess what douche..I don't care what you consider black metal to be. I"ve heard it all from Satyricon's "Into the Black forest" to Emperor's Prometheus to Enochian Cresent.

the only thing not black metal about Dimmu Borgir is their album sales and good production. They're a good band WITH good music.

If you don't like them for whatever reason that's cool ...but don't piss on other people's parade...and if Dimmu is not black metal ...then what genre or sub-genre would you classify them...they are Black metal in every form ...from image , lyrical content and musical format..

BTW , for example ..Drip and I had a disaggreement about Immortal ...I never had any of their cds. I was exposed to them live which did NOT do them justice ...so I ignorantly slammed them ..

I bought one of their discs and man was I wrong ...I love Immortal and bought all their discs now.

I listen to Immortal, I have the first album Diabloical full moon.. [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] something like that, and I love it.
Immortal call themself Hollocaust metal [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Other bands I would call BM is Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Darkthrone, Burzum, Bathory, Sigh, Carpathian Forrest, Tsjuder, Khold... pluss other bands offcourse, but in this style.

Hellhammer, Celtic frost etc. is more trash in my opinion, but it's called first vawe BM by many people, allong with Venom, Death SS etc..

But... it's really just a name, and the genres is floating. But Dimmu Borgir is not what I started to listen to Black metal for. Bands like Dimmu, Nightwish and Children of bothom do not appeal to me.
But if the guys here like it, it's fine.

Coming here saying Dimmu Borgir is crap gets the same angry reactions like when saying they are good in Norway [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've heard about this stupid discussion if dimmu is or not black metal before. Don't give a f**k what u call them, just think their music IS AMAZING, have dark ambience (keyboards), harmonized guitars, KILLER RIFFIN(take any song and get @ least 3 or 4 riff to learn).
And yes, sell your Jackson and play music with a broomstick (Up your as*!!!) [img]/images/graemlins/rant.gif[/img]
