• Killswitch Engage - The end of heartache

Just heard KsE's latest effort, and feel the need to say that it totally blew me away! The title track is one of the best metal songs I've heard in years!
Simple, but innovative, and great sound production. I hope these guys make it.
If you like melodic metal, I suggest you buy this!

Adam D, Mike D and Joel are buds of mine. While I love the songs and Adam's production on this one, I'm still not over Jesse leaving the band, something just doesn't sound right anymore.

I don't know alot about their history, but I understand Jesse is their former singer. I really love the track "fixation on the darkness", but I like both vocalists so I don't have a problem with the line-up change. Come to think of it, I rarely like both former and newer when bands replace somebody, but KsE did a good job on this one so no prob

I love the new singer! But then I discovered the band after he left.

which soilwork disc?

I have them all.... the 2 new albums are much more like KsE. Natural Born Chaos and Figure Number Five.

The best soilwork album is A predator's Portait. THat kicks ass beyond asses.

Re: Killswitch Engage - The end of heartache

i thought the album was alright for what it was, but to me it seemed like the guitarists were too influenced by soilwork (and in flmaes to a lesser extent), so nothing new hit me, it felt like revisiting the old days when i used to be into soilwork. jmo

Re: Killswitch Engage - The end of heartache

Jesse is now in a stoner-post-hardcore grove metal band called Seemless now, with fellow ex-KSE guitarist Pete Cortese. It's good stuff, but far removed from KSE.

I wouldn't put KSE no where near Soilwork ...but that's me.

I hate the singer.

I like the band.

Noooooo!...that's Howard Jones. Jesse Leach (KSE's original vocalist) is gone, and now in a band called SEEMLESS

Howard Jones is also in Blood Has Been Shed (still)
