• Jag Panzer - "Casting the Stones"

Talk about a killer disc - great traditional metal with some "modern" overtones.

They got a great tone, too, and Broderick shreds his a$$ off, but tastefully.

You can pre-order it at the Jag Panzer site.

Thanks for the heads up. Mechanized Warfare is a killer disc, hopefully the new one will be as good or better.

It's better - same vein, but better writing, IMO, and Harry kicks ass vocally.

i have known cris Broderick since '91 when he was in a friends band, i have a video around here somewhere of us playing a dive where i had to use his rig when mine died 5 minutes till showtime. He really saved my ass that night. He was, shall we say...........a little overwieght back then.We used to joke with him that we were going to take him to nebraska and make him walk back.lol.I saw him not too long ago and the dude is heavily into weightlifting.I was really amazed on how he had changed. He is a cool guy and a monster player. He had a double neck guitar custom made and he played both necks at the same time, its in the video i have.Kinda like a stanly clark.Glad to see him having some success.

I remember Harry told me that Joey Tafolla really smoked Chris when Chris just joined the band ...that was some time ago

Man that dude became a serious monster shredder....and he's a very nice dude got to hang and make friends with those dudes years ago ...I must have made a good impression on them because they thanked me in the credits of their "Thane to the Throne" disc along with you guys Michael...

I also got to see Chris assist Nevermore with rythm guitar duties...I would love to see him and Jeff share some chops .

I couldn't believe that Harry remembered my name after three years either ...and he wore the T-shirt I gave him at the show..that was so cool!

Michael Your "Trinity" disc kicks serious ass dude...a great disc I recommended to all!!

I got Casting the Stones on order ...it should be comin' soon..

BTW Mike , The Krustmeister called me the other day ...I might go with him to Power Prog next year...he's trying to get on the bill....so maybe I'll get to meet ya..

              Bill -

That's interesting - the story I got from Mark was that there was a solo on "The Fourth Judgement" that Tafolla did as a multi-track comp so that, as he put it, "no one could ever play it."

Chris walked in and played it during his audition. The dude is sick - and a hell of a nice guy, to boot.

Thanks for the positive vibes on "Trinity". Wait 'til you hear the next one...

I didn't get to hang with Krusty as much this year, but it would be excellent if you were there next year - that festival is basically one barely-in-control party for three days. The music's good, too.

"Casting the Stones" is just a step up, period.

                Re: Jag Panzer - \"Casting the Stones\"

Well I think Harry was very partial to Joey at first until Chris really established himself in the band ...

and for good reasons ..I remember talkin' to Chris when he just got his schecter 7 string ...he was warming up with it and that dude is just sick..what an awesome awesome player.

I just got the Chain of Commmand re-issue and can't wait to get Casting the Stones..

Harry is unreal live ...He should get more credit in the powermetal world...He's such a normal lookin' dude ...until he hits the stage ...then he tranforms into Metal God ...well second to Halford I guess..

Actually he did a better job than Rob did live..and I told that to Harry because I just saw Halford like a week before Jag Panzer..he's very strong live ...I never heard him sound bad yet.

Harry told me I look like that singer from Disturbed...but I think that dude is gay ....well not "gay" as in pole smokin' because he gets a lot of tail ...but "Gay" as in Ricky Martin kinda Gay ...well Ricky Martin is gay ...now I'm confused. Bill -

I did hang with Krusty a bunch at Prog Power this year. Krusty, my wife, our friend Chris L. and I went to breakfast at 4:00am Saturday. I'm not sure Krusty will remember it because he was torn up! I walked out of the resturant with a pumpkin that's sitting on my table at home now

I hope you make it down next year - it would be great to hang with you in person.

Thanks for the kind words about "Trinity".

Krusty is always tore up Matt ...that's when he calls me usually!!!

Hopefully I'll come out next year ....that's if they don't cavity search me and find my gerbil (Lemmywinks) at the airport..

I do look a little scarier than Cat Stevens...

I've listened to the first three tracks, and it immediately strikes me as one of this year's best releases! innovative, great riffs and great solos. I'm definitely buying this!
