Neil sounds good on some of the harder rocking early Journey stuff; ie "City Of The Angels", etc. And that solo albumn Neil did with Sammy Hager was very underated and not widely promoted. I think it was released in the mid 80's. Don't remember the name of their project off the top of my head. Definitely worth locating if you appreciate Neil's playing. Wish him and Hager would collaberate on more stuff.

HSAS was the bands name-hagar,Schon, aronson, shrieve.

Hagar and neil were doing a project called PLANET US but the band had to get a new singer and bass player when van hagar reconviened.They now have Jeff Scott Soto singing and have a single out on the net.I forget the new name.
